Cloud Presales Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Technical Expertise: Serve as the technical expert in cloud solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the cloud industry. (Azure & AWS preferred).
• Customer Engagement: Engage with potential customers to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and challenges. Conduct discovery sessions and technical workshops.
• Solution Design: Design and architect cloud solutions that meet customer requirements. Create detailed technical proposals and solution documents.
• Presentations and Demos: Deliver compelling presentations and live demonstrations of cloud solutions to technical and non-technical audiences. Highlight the benefits and competitive advantages of our offerings.
• Proof of Concepts (PoCs): Lead and manage PoCs to validate the feasibility and performance of proposed solutions. Provide technical support throughout the PoC process.
• RFP/RFI Responses: Assist in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) by providing detailed technical information and responses.
• Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, product management, and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer engagements. Provide feedback to product teams on customer needs and market trends.
• Training and Enablement: Provide training and enablement sessions to sales teams and partners on cloud technologies and solutions.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to assess existing infrastructure, applications, and workloads for migration readiness.
• Develop comprehensive migration plans, timelines, and strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct thorough assessments of on-premises infrastructure, identifying dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility issues.
• Recommend optimizations and remediation actions to prepare for migration.
• Analyze existing applications and workloads to determine their suitability for cloud migration.
• Assess compatibility with cloud platforms, identify refactoring requirements, and prioritize migration efforts based on business impact.
• Execute migration activities according to the defined migration plan, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
• Configure Azure Site recovery for Failover/Failback , AWS Cloud Endura for Failover/Failback.
• Coordinate with technical teams to provision cloud resources, migrate data, and configure applications in the cloud environment.
• Migration with Azure Migrate or third party to Cloud.
• Build VM with Automation Tools, Cloud cluster with Shared Disk.
• Create documentation, runbooks, and post-migration reports to document migration activities, configurations, and best practices. Provide stakeholders with regular updates on migration progress, issues, and risks.
• Transfer knowledge to internal teams and client stakeholders regarding cloud migration best practices, tools, and methodologies. Conduct training sessions and workshops to enable self-sufficiency in managing cloud environments.
• Share folder migration to Azure Files/S3 bucket/Glaciers.
• Native – Cloud Backup Solutions design and configuration.
• Tagging resources/Naming conversion for the resources.
• Native – Cloud monitor configuration.

Preferred Skills:

• Proven experience in cloud migration projects, with hands-on experience in migrating infrastructure and applications to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, migration methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in cloud migration tools and technologies, such as AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, or CloudEndure.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for automated provisioning and deployment.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, security protocols, and data encryption techniques in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot migration issues and optimize performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Professional Cloud Architect are preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple migration projects simultaneously.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging cloud technologies and best practices

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
