Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Infoblox DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM) implementation, administration, and support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, operating, and maintaining secure and scalable DDI environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance across the network infrastructure.

Experience:

  • 4–5 years of hands-on experience with Infoblox DDI (Nios platform).
  • Exposure to cloud DNS platforms (AWS Route53, Azure DNS, etc.).
  • Experience with automation (Ansible, Python scripting).
  • Experience in ITIL environments.


Key Responsibilities:

Infoblox Implementation & Administration

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Infoblox DDI solutions (Nios Appliances, Grid Master, Grid Members).
  • Perform IPAM configuration, DNS/DHCP provisioning, and automation setups.
  • Implement Infoblox best practices, high-availability setups, and security policies.
  • Manage Grid upgrades, firmware updates, and patching activities.


Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide L2/L3 level support for Infoblox-related incidents and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot DNS issues, DHCP conflicts, IPAM errors, and replication issues.
  • Monitor Infoblox systems’ health and performance; respond to alerts proactively.
  • Coordinate with OEM (Infoblox TAC) for advanced troubleshooting.


Network Security & Infrastructure

  • Configure and support DNS security (DNSSEC, RPZ, threat protection feeds).
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and hardening practices.
  • Work with firewalls/load balancers if needed for DNS/DHCP/IPAM integrations.
  • Support integration with SIEM tools, audit logs, and reporting.


Documentation & Processes

  • Maintain accurate documentation (HLD/LLD, runbooks, SOPs).
  • Participate in change management, risk assessments, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams.


Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Grid architecture, HA setups.
  • Experience with Infoblox reporting, Grid upgrades, and API/automation (REST API, Python is a plus).
  • Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs).
  • Experience working in enterprise network environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex DNS/DHCP issues independently.
  • Familiarity with security concepts, DNS security, and network hardening practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle critical incidents.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Team player with a proactive work attitude.


Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant security or networking certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Security+, etc.) are a plus.
  • Infoblox Certifications (NCTA / NCP / NCE).
