Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Specialist

Job Summary:

The Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving the sales and growth of our cybersecurity solutions. This dual-role requires a blend of technical expertise and business development skills. The specialist will engage with potential customers, understand their cybersecurity needs, provide technical demonstrations, and assist in crafting tailored solutions. Additionally, they will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Roles and responsibilities:

Technical Expertise and Consultation:

  • Provide expert technical guidance on cybersecurity solutions and services.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of customer requirements and propose appropriate security solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to showcase product capabilities.

 

Solution Design and Proposal Development:

  • Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to design comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.
  • Develop detailed technical proposals, including solution architectures, implementation plans, and cost estimates.
  • Create and manage / co-ordinate proof-of-concept (POC) environments to validate solutions for customers.

 

Business Development:

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities in the cybersecurity space.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT leaders, and decision-makers.

 

Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights into cybersecurity trends and best practices.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns throughout the sales process, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the post-sales team to ensure smooth transition and implementation of solutions.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity technologies, threats, and industry regulations.
  • Pursue relevant certifications and training to enhance technical and business development skills.

 

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in a pre-sale, technical consulting, preferably some experience in business development in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies, solutions, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

 

Preferred Certifications: (Not Mandatory)

  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH).
  • Technical proficiency in areas such as network and information security, endpoint security, cloud security, Data security and threat intelligence.
  • Business acumen and understanding of the sales cycle and business development processes.
  • Proficiency in creating technical and business documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

 

Soft Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
  • Good communication and co-ordination skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Skill-Set Required

 

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Science / Engineering.
